Underdog Rescue of Arizona is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foster-based Phoenix dog rescue. Their dog rescue in Arizona focuses on the East Valley cities of Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa, Scottsdale, and Tempe. 

They are dedicated to rescuing and re-homing pets in need, whether they were rescued from the euthanasia list, homeless, or abandoned.  They are run entirely by volunteers and fosterers that are dedicated to helping our pets. They are one of the few Arizona animal shelters that rescues and re-homes dogs of all ages and sizes, with no breed restrictions. Their focus is on rescuing and rehabilitating the true “underdogs” — those senior pets, bully breeds, or pets with medical issues. 

In addition, Underdog Rescue of Arizona is an advocacy group, striving to educate the public on the issue of animal welfare. They work on shelter reform, spay and neuter education, the responsibilities of raising dogs, and emergency rescue.
